Lainie Kazan might best be remembered by this generation for her comedic turns especially her role as the mother in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I don't remember her that way. She was so smolderingly hot forty years ago that the very sight of her would make it tough to breathe. She's still out there going strong and looking good, but her career took a strange turn in 1970. She broke her foot while running on a beach during a Playboy shoot. No big deal, right? Unfortunately, a cascade of related illness followed that stalled her career at a critical time in its development. A lot of people asked, what the heck happened to Lainie? Glad she's back.
